-- Somatic Meditation To Release Trauma Stored In The Body --

Maybe you’ve tried guided meditation in the past, but found yourself getting restless and bored.

This somatic meditation to release trauma stored in the body focuses on releasing emotions stored in the muscles rather than in your head.

The fact is that stress and trauma are stored in your nervous system -- not just your conscious mind.

And while therapy for trauma can yield many profound insights, true trauma healing has to incorporate your body for lasting, long term relief.

If you typically dislike meditation, find it difficult to sit still and focus or get bored easily, give somatic meditation a try.

Those restless feelings are often related to activation in your sympathetic nervous system -- your stress response, also known as “fight or flight.”

When we tap into sensory awareness through somatic meditation, your body is able to discharge the impulse to run, which in turn calms your mind and body.

The result is less pain, stress and tension overall. Trauma symptoms such as anxiety, depression, fatigue and low motivation often diminish as well.

So check out this somatic meditation to release trauma stored in the body and let me know how it goes for you.

Remember, bringing your body out of a trauma state is a practice -- not a one and done kind of thing. So the more often you implement this guided meditation, the deeper your healing will be.
